Besides providing a tax- free place for people to invest their money, the British- owned Cayman Islands— and specifically Grand Cayman, the largest— are an attractive vacation place. A number of Grand Cayman all inclusive resorts have sprung up. This article is about the best all inclusive resorts in Grand Cayman: the Reef Resort, Grand Cayman Marriot Beach Resort, and Beach Club Colony.
The Reef Resort
This resort, which opened only in 2000, is unique among all inclusive Grand Cayman resorts in that all its suites are along the beach front. Thus, no matter where guests are booked, they always have a breathtaking view of the turquoise- tinted Caribbean Sea, with its graceful palm trees and sandy beaches. The distance from the hotel to the beach is enormous! And as if the ocean were not enough, there is also an eight- shaped swimming pool! The inside of the building is just as beautiful as the outside: the Jacuzzi and sinks are lined with shiny white porcelain, and the bedspread is covered with tropical flowers. And the rooms are spaciously arranged. Anyone who spends his vacation at this place will want to return next year— and the year after that— and the year after that.
Grand Cayman Marriott Beach Resort
Grand Cayman Marriott Beach Resort is part of the worldwide hotel chain. It is somewhat more crowded than the Reef Resort, which is tucked away in an uncrowded area, but each of its 295 luxury guest rooms and suites is equipped with a private balcony. Cocktails are served at Balboa’s Lounge, and buffet at the Red Parrot. Children can stay at Camp ECO Kids’ Club, or do activities at Arts ‘n Crafts. Some of the palm trees that stand near its swimming pool reach up to the fourth floor! The Marriot is one of the two chain all inclusive resorts in Grand Cayman.
Beach Club Colony
The last of the three Grand Cayman all inclusive resorts covered here— Beach Club Colony— is also near Seven Mile Beach. It is much smaller than the Marriott Beach Resort, with only 41 rooms; but it has a professional diving center for snorkeling and scuba diving. There is a patio or a private balcony with every room.
These three are essentially the only Grand Cayman all inclusive resorts in existence (though there is also the Ritz Carlton, which will be discussed in a future article). There are many other resorts on this and other islands of the group, but the best deals one can find are available at Grand Cayman all inclusive resorts— and these include three meals a day; drinks anytime at the bar and restaurants; and a number of value plans (for meals only, both meals and drinks, and deluxe).
Grand Cayman all inclusive resorts can also be magnificent places to hold a wedding or honeymoon. All three of those just described offer such accommodations. At the Reef Resort, for instance, you can have a “barefoot wedding” (including five nights in a beachfront suite with chilled champagne ready when you arrive and a Stingray City Trip or Kayak Tour), “Blissfully Cayman” (package includes being photographed by a professional, and a CD made, a decorated signing table, and a dinner for two by candle light), or Caymanite Paradise. Other events may be held here as well.
These Grand Cayman all inclusive resorts are definitely an enjoyable way to spend one’s vacation.
