8 Reasons Why Owning a Motorcycle is a Good Idea

Ah. Two-wheel driving that’s faster than a bicycle. Who wouldn’t want that? Well, not everybody.

Everyone understands the risks of driving a motorcycle or getting into one. With gear or no gear, your body is exposed to a potential collision to objects, animals, people, and other things while on the road. The risk of having injuries from every direction is possible.

There’s always the pros and cons of owning some inanimate objects. But here we will discuss the good things why one should own a motorcycle. So, if you have decided to own or drive one for a change, for leisure, or for being rebellious somehow like what a motorcycle had a bad name for, here are some reasons why you should put that into action.

  1. You can’t use your phone

It is not, in any circumstances, recommended that one uses a phone while behind the wheels. But some people still do. But if you are driving behind two wheels, that makes for an impossible chance of using your phone. You’ll have to pull over in order to use it. Lesser chance of getting into an accident. Now that is a good pro.

  1. Less expensive than cars

This one is obvious IF you give exception to names like Harley Davidson, Ducati, Hildebrand & Wolfmuller, you get the point.

  1. Mileage

Some bikes can run on 40-50 mpg. Sometimes even 60. That is great news if you are into fuel-efficiency, and if you care for mother earth. You will also save some money if you are commuting in NYC.

  1. Gifting you is easier

Motorcycles come with quite a few accessories which are necessary for you to actually be able to drive it on the road. Come the holidays, you won’t be giving loved ones a hard time to think of what to get you. They can take their pick from helmets, gloves, jackets, sunglasses, or even a watch.

  1. Emergencies

With a motorcycle, you can always pass over cars and cut across traffic whenever there is an emergency.

  1. Parking

Of course. A motorcycle doesn’t require much space so you don’t have to worry much about parking. You won’t be spending time and gas as you would a car.

  1. Inexpensive maintenance

As it is inexpensive to buy, so is it inexpensive to maintain WITH, again, the exception of some brands. But if compared to a car, a motorcycle doesn’t require many dollars. Owning a motorcycle means you have to be able to know how to clean some parts, change the oil, and so on. This will save you a trip to the mechanic. But if you prefer your hands clean, repair shops won’t ask for a price they would a car. Parts and video tutorials are also available online if you want to care for your motorcycle yourself.

  1. Vibe

Driving a motorcycle always gives you that “cool vibe” that has never gone out of style. Until if you fall out of it. Not cool. While getting into a motorcycle is cool, properly driving one is cooler. Consider going to driving school Bronx so you can make sure that doesn’t happen.
